Instruments

Musaica Violins are made of Tibetan or European spruce and maple that has been aged for at least 10 years.  The fingerboards and fittings are of premium ebony, rosewood, and boxwood.The highest grade instruments are finished in the United States, including regraduation and fitting European Red Spruce or Sitka Spruce bass bars. The less expensive Chinese instruments are completed in China under the supervision of a master maker.  The president of the manufacturing company closely supervises the logging of the wood in Tibet, insuring quality, age, and proper treatment.

Instruments can be ordered white, with or without complete set-up. We will also label upon request. The set-up consists of the finest Despiau or Aubert bridges and Musaica Fine Fittings. We are pleased to offer special order set-ups with proper lead time.

 

Fittings

Musaica Fine Fittings are designed and manufactured for the discerning artist and dealer. These fittings are available in traditional French or English styles, as well as inlaid or intricately carved designs. They are made with the finest quality ebony, rosewood, or boxwood and are finished by hand with meticulous care. All woods go through lengthy air drying before carving and the natural color is preserved in the ebony and rosewood.

We have put great care into the design of each item. For instance, all chinrests have enough clearance for peaked tailpieces and minimal footprints.

We continue to add items and designs, so please check with us for updates. Also, we can custom order anything within reason if we are provided with good specifications and at least an 8 week lead time.

Musaica Fine Fittings are guaranteed for life against defects of workmanship or materials.
